Hot Tub Access Instructions:
The hot tub is equipped with an easy access metal lifter bar to help remove the hot tub cover. To access the hot tub:
- Loosen the black safety belt that secures the hot tub cover to create a little slack. The black safety belt looks much like a seat belt. Loosen it by sliding the metal clip out a little to create a little slack. You want just enough slack in the safety belt that you can unhook it from the small hook at the bottom of the hot tub base).
- Unhook the safety belt from the little hook at the bottom of the hot tub base and toss the black safety belt anywhere on the brown hot tub cover.
- Flip the front-half of the brown hot tub cover over revealing half of the hot tub (the black safety belt is inside of the folded cover, which is fine).
- Stand on the side of the hot tub by the metal lifter bar and gently pull the lifter bar toward the back fence to gently remove the cover. NOTE: The bar does not require significant force. A gentle pull will do it.
- ENJOY!
When done, simply reverse these steps!

Outdoor Shower
For your comfort and enjoyment, we recommend all guests returning from the beach immediately shower off in the outdoor shower before entering the pool, hot tub or home. Be sure to wash sand out from inside bathing suits as well as shoes. Removing as much sand as possible outdoors before entering the pool, hot tub or home prevents sand from clogging up the filters that keep the water clean and protects the water pressure.
Grill
Just Fab is equipped with a propane gas grill located on the pool deck. The grill should remain on the ground level pool deck and MUST NOT be moved onto covered areas. Seaside Vacations will provide propane for the gas grill. If you need another propane tank please let Resort staff know.
Dealing with Midges
The Outer Banks is a beautiful place to vacation, but anytime you find yourself near the ocean, you are inevitably stepping into ecosystems where an impressive number of insects thrive. In the Outer Banks, midges are one of the most common insects noticed by locals and visitors. Midges aren’t dangerous but can be annoying if you don’t know what they are and how to manage them. Midges are very attracted to bright lights as well as carbon dioxide and body heat given off by people. The following steps can help you manage them during your stay:
- Spray yourself with quality bug repellent whenever you have plans to be outdoors. Additionally, know that midges are most prevalent late at night and in the early morning hours.
- Avoid turning bright lights on indoors in the early morning and late evening to prevent attracting midges.
- Keep exterior porch and deck lights off when not needed or in use. If midges enter the house, please don’t swat at them as that simply smears them on the walls. Typically they like high ceilings and will die and drop to the ground where they can be easily vacuumed up.
