Check Out Procedures
Please review your welcome email and be aware of your checkout time because the access code will stop working at this time on your check out day. Checking out on time is important in order to ensure time for housekeepers to perform the level of cleaning that we all value when renting a vacation home.
Before You Leave
Please help give a final farewell to the home by taking a few small actions upon your departure:

- Remove only the fitted/flat sheets and blankets from all beds and leave them piled at the foot of the bed.
- Please ensure all food and drink is removed from the refrigerator and properly disposed of in the trash and wipe the counters and floors where food may have spilled before you leave. Please leave the refrigerator on the medium setting.
- Please take your trash out to the trash bin and roll it to the side of the main road so that it can be collected by the Town of Nags Head. This keeps it from landing on the housekeepers and helps prevent rodents, varmints, bugs and other unwelcome pests from discovering Just Fab.
- Leave grills, furniture, and accessories as you found them.
- Remove toys/trash from the pool area.
- Make sure Hot Tub cover is secured with the strap properly tightened and clipped to the base of the Hot Tub.
- Make sure the propane tank has been shut off for the gas grill and clean with the provided grill brush.
- Place all dirty dishes in the dishwasher prior to leaving. You do not have to run the dishwasher prior to leaving.
- Turn off all lights and small appliances.
- Turn the thermostat to 75 degrees in cool mode (summer) or 55 degrees in heat mode (winter)
- If you logged into a streaming service on the Roku TVs with your personal login information, please be sure to log out.
- Check the house one final time for any personal belongings before leaving. We recommend having someone from your party who didn’t stay in your room check your room (closets, drawers, and under beds) as they are more likely to spot an overlooked item!
- Please do a final check to ensure all windows, sliders, and exterior doors are locked before you leave.
A few additional notes:
- If you discover that you have left anything behind once you get home, just call Seaside Vacations – they will send someone over to the house to retrieve your items and can arrange for them to be returned to you though they may charge a fee and postage.
- We understand that accidents happen. If you damage anything during your stay, we appreciate you proactively reporting it immediately to Seaside Vacations so that they may take action to help mitigate any further issues to the house. We work hard to maintain Just Fab for you and rely on guests to help us care for the home so that it is in good working condition for the next guest. It is better for all parties if you report the damage rather than leave it to be discovered by Seaside Vacations.
- Leave us a review! If you loved the stay, we’d be grateful for positive reviews. While we strive to make everything about your visit truly “Just Fab,” we also know that sometimes things may go wrong or may not be just right. In the unlikely but possible event you are unhappy with any aspect of your visit, we would ask that you report any problems to Seaside Vacations and preferably not online so that we have the opportunity to resolve it.
- Sign our guest book! We’d love to hear how you enjoyed your stay – what you liked best about your visit, how the home contributed to your stay, and any new gems you discovered such as restaurants or stores or places to visit. We read every entry!
